Approximately 90 minutes on an mp3 memory stick for members each week. Contains news mainly from The Essex Chronicle, plus other newspapers and magazines. General news, local sports, local road and pavement works, obituaries, entertainment and information from city and borough council. Other recorded information and magazines at monthly and/or quarterly intervals.

We ask volunteers to recognise the commitment requested to enable us to issue our talking newspaper each and every week.
Readers on a monthly rota, Thursday evenings. At our studio in Writtle of 2 hours duration: from 6.00pm. The reading team consists of an editor plus two.
Recording technician Allocated to a monthly rota, must be available on a Thursday evening from 5.30 pm to 10.00 pm to operate our digital recording system. We use Adobe Audition to record. Simple editing, copying and duplicating is easily picked up by anyone used to working with Microsoft Word Documents. Full training will be given. Dispatch Team - around 2 hours on a Friday morning to unpack and pack mem sticks into wallets and deliver to Post Office
